Active Adventures never cease to amaze - the destinations they choose, the companies they engage, the guides they hire, the overall preparedness for a trip such as this. Their knowledge and expertise, their dedication to safety, their attention to detail, their flexibility in decision making, their open and honest communication, their awareness and understanding of their participants - all requirements and all surpassed! Eight days trekking through gorgeous scenery, African rainforest, and dry savanna, to the final arctic peak - Uhuru. We are experienced hikers and we went prepared but we were seriously challenged beyond all our expectations! The ratio of hikers to guides and porters, their dedication and care, and their enthusiasm and encouragement of us every day gave us a huge boost and ultimately our success. We are in our seventies, we made that trek to 19,341 feet, we experienced the beauty of nature in a truly unique way, we found strength we didn't know we had, and we saw the world from a far different perspective. Thank you Ola & Kim; Aroon, Matthew, & Steven; Ephata; Jackson & all thirty-eight porters who supported and worked so hard for us and whose names we wish we knew, our heart-felt thanks.

This was absolutely a lifetime highlight ... from the fabulous guides - to the extremely hardworking and helpful support staff (thank you, Mathew!) - to the delicious food - to the hike itself - and to my fellow hikers, I truly feel this was the best trip of my life. And a very cool accomplishment to reach one of the world's seven summits. I'm not sure what else I can do to top this.

The Trek was very impressive (hard); the leaders and the guides were terrific. A special thanks to the porters. I could not have completed the trek without their support. The memories will last a life time!

The first three days of this adventure were so fun! The guides and other 6 guests were so easy to be around; no awkwardness from the get-go. We eased into hiking and cycling to prepare for the longer excursions later in the week. The afternoon river rafting trip on the Kicking Horse river was a blast.. and COLD! But so fun! Unfortunately, I came down with covid that evening of the third day and spent the remainder of the trip in our Banff hotel. Sydney and Keenan made sure I was taken care of, but since I was testing positive I could not rejoin the trip. To my great disappointment I was not able to hike the Athabaska Glacier, did not see the bears, did not hike Solitude Pass. The pictures provided by Austin Adventures made me cry to see what I'd missed. I had to downgrade my overall experience because of covid, although it was not AA's fault. Neither was the wildfire smoke that obscured some of the views.

The trip was fantastic! Saw all the highlights of Glacier NP, and did some great hikes. Tour guides Steve and Bob were excellent! They educated us on geography, history, flora and fauna, native American culture, etc. They were a wealth of knowledge, so capable, and accommodating. They had to come up with "plan B" several times due to trail closure, restaurant closure, weather, and did so with remarkable skill and poise. Really enjoyed Glacier NP, and will be back again in the future.

Our trip guides - Keenan and Sydney were awesome! They literally thought of everything to make our trip so nice! From snacks on the river, to a dry towel after rafting, to a yummy charcuterie board after our bike ride, the two of them were so very thoughtful and engaged, for the entire trip! We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our trip, lots of great scenery, adventures and getting to know Keenan and Sydney throughout our week!

Our trip to Banff & Jasper was fantastic. Sydney & Keenan were expert guides for the area and activities, and took care of our group. They pivoted with the weather and some of our requests during the trip all while pulling off a seamless adventure. We saw parts of Canada that we would not have been able to do on our own and learned so much - from hiking techniques to glacier activity. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience, guides and fellow guests. Looking forward to our next Austin adventure!

This was my first adventure with (Active)Austin Adventures and my husbands second trip. I loved it! For me the white water rafting and glacier ice walk were awesome. Our guides, Sydney and Keenan were fantastic. They truly gave us the red carpet treatment and you can see the difference between Active Adventures and other companies when you are on the trip.

The guides were very good, making last minute adjustments to the scheduled hikes when necessary. All the hikes were enjoyable on nice trails with easy walking. Most of the hikes were a bit shorter/easier than I prefered, but the weather got in the way for some of days. The best day was day four, with the best hike an extra one along the Highline trail (our guide, Steve, took a few of the group on a fast hike, for me,to a point just below Haystack).

The rafting was enjoyable, but definitely not as exciting as other white water rafting that I have done. The last day taking the gondola up Whitefish Mt was definitely a bit anti-climatic.
The lunches (prepared by Bob and Steve) were very good. Apart from the dinners at Many Glacier Lodge, the food was very good; even when Austin Logistics screwed up a dinner reservation in West Glacier, Steve found an excellent alternative, which turned out to be probably the most enjoyable meal (for me at least).

Lodging and food was very good.

Austin Customer Service was not so good. They seemed to have no clue about where to stay in Whitefish (and could not even tell me that the last night of the tour would be at the Grouse Mountain Lodge) and what other things to do in Whitefish, if you arrived early or were staying more days. Since Whitefish is quite expensive and hotels book up early, this is not irrelevant.

If a guest has extra time and a rental car, there are some excellent relatively easy hikes close to Whitefish/Flathead Lake; kayaking on Flathead Lake to Wild Horse Island with a local company was a good choice for thise that enjoy kayaking.

I participated in your August 20-27th, 2023 Austrian Adventure trip with my friend John F. In summary, it was a spectacular trip and your fine guides, Ben, Ronny and Peter were a large part in ensuring all us customers had a great time. Besides the strikingly beautiful Austrian countryside, I especially enjoyed the multi-sport element of this trip. I believe this feature sets you apart from some of your competitors, such as backroads and I would encourage you folks to offer more of these type trips. We were never bored with: Biking, Kayaking, Skydiving, White water rafting and hiking activities as well as time for sightseeing. The trip through the Hallstatt salt mine and walking around Salzburg were some other highlights. There was also some free time included in the schedule which was also nice.

We had a smaller group of 7 guests, with 2 active guides with what I thought to be great chemistry. (Luck of the draw). But the guides helped ensure we all jelled. The hotels and meals were very good and appropriate for this type of action trip.

This was my second Active Adventure trip and my 4th adventure travel-type trip and I would not hesitate to recommend you folks, or go on another trip with you.

We logged ample miles in the saddle but it was the variety of activities that seemed to naturally flow that made the surroundings even more spectacular. Our guides were consistently upbeat and engaging making certain we were ready and well equipped.

The Kenai Fjords & Denali Adventure has an excellent mix of activities (hiking, rafting, kayaking, wildlife viewing). Our friendly and knowledgeable guides Jessi and Liz took care of all the planning, logistics, toting luggage, and other headachy parts of travel so our small group (initially strangers, now friends) just could focus on enjoying the day.

Being able to unplug from my computer and get into the great wilds of Alaska was so refreshing. The wildlife was amazing - we saw caribou, bears, ptarmigan, eagles, spawning salmon, and more (including a super pod of 100 orcas!). We tasted wild blueberries and salmon berries and saw the beautiful subarctic climates - marshes to black spruce forests to glacial fields.

Our guides were excellent planners and cheerfully answered the many questions from the group about all things Alaska. They were able to provide meal options to those of us with dietary issues, and the food was all plentiful and tasty.

The smaller group format was very comfortable. It was a personalized experience instead of the cruise ship tourists I saw in a couple locations who always traveled in huge busses and just seemed like names on a spreadsheet to their organizers.

I've recommended this trip and tour company to many friends and family.

Amazing trip in Alaska in the summer 2023! Our guides Jessi and Liz were great, super attentive to all our needs.
Right balance between activities, stretching us outside of our comfort zone while maintaining a vacation spirit.
We were extremely lucky with the weather and able to see a lot of wildlife. The dynamic of the group was perfect and we had a lot of fun.
    Really recommend it!!

Liz and Jessi were terrific, competent, knowledgeable guides that made my trip to Alaska unforgettable. The itinerary was perfect - the strenuous hikes were sprinkled among more chill days, so nothing felt overwhelming or unsafe. The kayaking and rafting were a nice contrast to the spectacular hikes. We were fortunate to see a lot of wildlife - eagles, bears, caribou, a moose, ground squirrels, ptarmigans, and more. I highly recommend this trip with Austin Adventures!

What a beautiful and amazing adventure to Alaska's National Parks! We had the best time exploring Resurrection Bay, rafting, hiking, kayaking and flightseeing over Denali (Mount McKinley) and landing on a glacier! Oh and those grizzlies and caribou and killer whales and puffin were really cool, not to mention the red sockeye salmon. We learned a lot by exploring a lot. Great guides and smooth following itinerary!
